Now this may also reveal that the 25' HDMI cables aren't the best build quality as well though. But for the value these cables are great just be sure to be careful with them. I think the problem was the 8" male/female extender. I stuck it back in and it seems to work. Great value. These Cables work as advertised. I did have one incident when I was unplugging one of the ends from an 8" male/female HMDI Extender where the metal end of the HDMI Cord was pulled off. The female side of the extender is too tight.
Other reviews that mention the thickness of the cable ends are correct. I watch Blu-Rays from the blu-ray player to a HD projector at 1080P with no problem. All in all, though, you simply can't beat the price. Received the HDMI cable as advertised and in a timely manner. Cable isn't the highest quality, but it works as advertised. It doesn't cause me a problem, but I can't insert the end all the way into my projector because the cable plastic bumps into a screw on the projector.
The picture is fantastic. I used theDigital Optical Audio TosLink to Mini TosLink Cable, 12 FT along with RiteAV - Digital Optical Toslink Cable 25ft.
The cheap ones carry the digital signal just as well. I bought all the cables and connector on Amazon for practically nothing compared to retail.
and Optical Extension Coupler to connect my iMac to my home theater. Don't waste money on expensive cables.
I used the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (female) Cable for Apple Mac along with 25ft HDMI to HDMI Cable Premium Gold Series HDMI Certified to connect my iMac to my HDTV. Don't pay for overpriced cables--these work great.Note that you have to have a separate audio connection, as the Mini DisplayPort is only video out, no audio.
It sounds fantastic--huge improvement over wireless (bluetooth) or RCA connections.
Sound and Picture quality are good. Tried it out and have had no problems since. Definitely worth a try. I just got a Samsung BDP1590 for Christmas and needed a long HDMI cable to run from my wall-mount Plasma through the wall to the Blu-Ray Player. I didn't want to pay the cost of a Monster cable or any of the other overpriced HDMI's out there, so I figured for the $20 with shipping it was worth the cost. I even noticed that I had to turn down the volume a bit while watching several Blu-Rays.
It outputs 1080i from my HDDVD player just fine. It will not output 1080P. I'm hoping the seller will make it right and send me another. I like others bought this cable for my PS3. DONOT buy for a PS3. So I know the cable is not completely bad just not high quality. For under 12$ i should have known better.
